Te Ara Awataha is an amazing addition to our community; it connects our places and people, and is home to native flora and fauna. It’s taken a huge team effort from many partner organisations, mana whenua, and others in the community, including volunteers, to help shape this amazing location – so we think it’s worth celebrating!
Bring the family and wander along the stream, visit the parks and town centre; you’ll find all sorts of free activities and awesome entertainment including:
Free face painting and sausage sizzle
- Chalk drawing and nature activities
- Planting and ecology workshops
- Live music, local eateries and information stalls
