Northcote is more than a place to live, it’s a community. Northcote Together - Onepoto Kotahi is a resident-led group helping to bring people together and build a neighbourhood where everyone feels connected and proud to call home.
Kāinga Ora’s work in Northcote goes beyond building homes. Through its Community Engagement and Partnerships team, Kāinga Ora has been working alongside local people to strengthen community connections and create a sense of belonging. Around 2 years ago, this partnership helped establish Northcote Together - a group of like-minded residents passionate about their community.
Northcote Together celebrates everything that makes their neighbourhood great. Through their website and social media, they promote local events and volunteeri opportunities, helping neighbours connect and stay informed. It’s a fantastic resource for new residents looking to settle in, highlighting the many positive things happening in Northcote. By supporting community integration and connections between residents of all backgrounds, they help create a strong sense of place where everyone can play a part in shaping their neighbourhood.

Northcote Together is always keen to welcome new volunteers and participants. Whether you want to help at events, meet new people, or simply stay informed about what’s happening locally, there’s a way to get involved.
To learn more, visit the Northcote Together - Onepoto Kotahi website and follow them on social media. Or join them at their monthly get together on the second Wednesday of each month – 6.30pm at the Bear Spot (please check their Facebook page as dates are subject to change).
Every connection helps make Northcote an even better place to live.
